ORIGINAL WINERY BUILDING IS BUILT
Sotero Arizu, one of the forefathers of Argentine winemaking,
builds an old Spanish style winery in the heart of Perdriel,
facing the impressive Cordon del Plata.
This building will be restored by Terrazas to become the estate’s winery.

RENAUD POIRIER TRAVELS TO ARGENTINA
Renaud Poirier, chief winemaker at Moët & Chandon, went to Argentina to research the region’s potential for world-class wine production. He met his match in Mendoza, at the foot of the Andes.

BODEGAS CHANDON SETTLED IN MENDOZA
Moët & Chandon established its first subsidiary company in Argentina. This was also the first French capital winery in South America.
