2019.06.05 Participated in the Citizen Week Japan 2019.

Citizen Week Japan 2019 took place from 30th May to 5th June as our CSR activities.

Overview :

Citizen Week is a Moët Hennessy’s global initiative to develop sustainability as CSR activities.

MHDKK have varieties of activities throughout the week based on this year’s global theme “Bye-Bye Wastes”.

This was our very first time to participate in the Citizen Week. As MHDKK, we presented 5 activities.

Sustainability Seminar :

We invited various speakers from different organizations to make a presentation about sustainable development every day.

The presentations were live shared with 5 regional offices and “on a business trip” staffs via ZOOM. We welcomed 165 participants in total to the sessions.

Green bird Clean Up Project :

We collaborated with Japan-based NPO green bird. They organize cleaning activity across the nation from Hokkaido to Okinawa!

The idea is everyone can join their cleaning on the spot with NO preparation, just sign in and bring yourself. 4 regional offices and 20 members joined to clean their cities at 6 locations.

Recycling Cork Week :

MHDKK had engaged with cork recycling activity. We collected used cork in collaboration with our POSs and transform them into coasters and calendar holder for internal use.

Green The Shelf! :

We encouraged staffs to bring already-reads and advertisement sample magazines to each office.

We will sell and transform them into green as we donate the sold amount to an environmental organization.

Citizen Week Award :

We hosted Citizen Week Award to raise awareness to reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts of our business in Japan.

MHDKK staffs were encouraged to participate Citizen Week activities and share their experience and thoughts with #mycitizenweek on Yammer.

Award winners will be decided by Senior Management, CSR Members, and participant’s vote (Like!).
